My father used to use a sprinkler head just like this in the 1950's.I've searched, in vain, for a comparable sprinkler for over 40 years.
Finally, someone re-made the old design with excellent materials.
This sprinkler has some drawbacks.First is the learning curve.The instructions are awful and you just have to experiment with the various adjustments until you can understand how to get it to do what you want it to do.It took me about an hour to look up the instructions on the internet, and, experiment with the unit until I understood how to adjust it.
Second, the unit will tend to flood out ground in and around the spike.Jets of water come from the bottom of the sprinkler head to provide water to an area about 2.5 feet in diameter around the head.This allows you to provide for complete watering of any area, including the area holding the spike.However, there is no way to adjust the output at the head itself and it is about 100% more than is necessary to water in and around the sprinkler head.
However, these minor drawbacks do not otherwise diminish an excellent sprinkler head that is adjustable in three dimensions to provide exactly the type of shower you want for your sprinkling purposes.
The materials are strong metal.There are no plastic moving parts.Why is this good?Because if you damage or bend one of the parts, accidentally, you have a chance of re-shaping it and repairing the unit.Anything plastic works well on the drawing board, but, in practice, any plastic part will break, especially if it is a moving part, and the chances of being able to find a substitute part are minimal or next to nothing.Even if a manufacturer does offer replacememnt practice parts, then you sprinkler head is down for a week or two while you order it and it is delivered.
One more good point about this sprinkler is that no one has tried to digitally enhance it.That may sound funny, but, frankly, a solid design like this, with no digital enhancements to suck up your time, is becoming more and more attractive in this age of over-gadgeted digital marketing.
The polished zinc spike, of course, will not deteriorate, and, is more than strong enough for you to use pressure to get it into the ground to hold the sprinkler head.
In all, this is the best, most versatile, and, most durable sprinkler head you can ever purchase.It is well worth the money.

This is a solid canister with copper sprayer.Very durable, and does not leak.Only one complaint I have is that it goes through juice quite quickly because the spray nozzle cannot be set to reduce its spray without creating a large mist.
