Claber 8053 Oasis 4-Program/20 Plant Garden Automatic Drip Watering System Review

I bought this device to keep 8 rather larges plants watered while I travel every month. I used two drippers per pot and left plenty of extra tubing between the plants. It worked great, really great. I've had to use it 5x so far and each time it worked perfectly.

I've tried several things in the past including other drip system as well as the 3 different kinds of watering spikes. Not of them worked as well or as easily as the Oasis. Highly recommend this.

Claber Automatic Rain Sensor for Aquadue Duplo Water Timer #90915 Review

Installation wasn't too fun since the cord is much too short!The sensor needs to be mounted in an unobstructured area for rain, obviously, so it's likely you need to place it on the roof or other high structure.But the cord isn't that long enough enough for a one-story low ceiling mount! I had to add my own wire which was unnecesarily complicated.Manufacturer should've included more cord or at least have left the wires bare with quick twist on plugs at the end.Anyway, seems to work so far.

Claber 2-Way Garden Hose Water Distributor Valve #8589 Review

Claber makes high quality products for a market that is flooded with stuff that seems engineered for early obsolescence.In doing this, Claber has moved into a vacuum that was created when another manufacturer of top quality products apparently "threw in the towel" and began to ship sub-par products that look the same as the old but do not last long.I also bought an electronically controlled water valve from Claber.It works perfectly and is easy to operate.It cost twice as much as most competitors' valves, therefore, I fell in the trap and bought competing products.What a mistake that was!I bought one at the local hardware store and was able to return it for a full refund.That one started turning furiously and continuously - without even being turned on - until the batteries were very hot - and had no charge left.The price had been $30 less than at Claber - but add four ruined batteries, two trips to the hardware store, and aggravation and hassle - I figure it cost me as much or more than the Claber even though the hardware store refunded the purchase price.My advice to you:buy from whomever you want - but only if you know from friends or family that their products have high quality, do the job, and last for a few seasons anyhow.Claber fits that bill.

Claber Kiros Portable Garden Hose Reel #8921 Review

Claber Aquapony Compact 50-Foot Garden Hose Cart #8884 Review

This is my first time review for the purchases at Amazon.com.

Delivery was prompt as always with Amazon.com.

Even if it said "completely assembled", there's a few assemblies needed though very simple to follow from the instructions on the box (it doesn't have any separate manual with it).

Unlike some concerns about the faucet connection from the reviews for this company's other product (Claber AquaPass Garden Hose Cassette #8974), the connection was secure enough with standard faucet (US size 5/8 in).

I had a little bit concern with flimsiness of the plastic things but as far as now, no drippings from any parts were observed.

The size of the hose may feel small but if your use is just for a small lawn like mine (front yard at town home) and car wash, it's going to be no problem.

The total weight is so light that even with water full in hose, you need to use both hands to retract hose without tipping it.

The spray nozzle provided needs several trial and error to get the hang of it.
(clockwise twist gets you from 1. off 2. wide cone 3. narrow cone 4. straight,
anticlockwise for the other way)
Once it starts working, you will be happy with it (My kids loved it).

As a whole, I am satisfied with the purchase.

Claber 9567 Metal-Jet Pistol Garden Hose Nozzle Review

Very good product. Very rugged, easy to adjust spray (though a little different from others)built in flow adjustment (separate from spray adjustment). Easy lock. Forget those home center throwaways. It used to be you could get a decent nozzle from Gilmour for example but the stuff they sell at the home centers is junk. I've gone through two of those a season for the last several years. I expect this one to last forever. This nozzle has a metal core and is solidly built. I also purchased a Claber Multi-Jet at the same time. It is more adjustable, but not as sturdy as this one.Both are very good.

Claber 8410 Aquadue Duplo Dual Hose Water Timer Review

I bought this unit to water two zones of crops. I had not seen any other timers that had dual outputs, and would much prefer the integration of having to only program one unit.This unit did the trick.

I was pleased at the quality construction of the unit.The hose thread went on easily to my spigot with no leaks.I have very strong water pressure of 120psi and this unit is rated to 150psi so no problem there. There are quick releases for the lower portion, which again, is wonderful since you don't have to contort you hand to get on the hoses.

The unit is heavy, so you want to ensure your spigot portion is well supported.failure to support your unit could cause issues down the road.In my case, I had the orbit 4-port manifold attached, and this has a metal frame bracket exactly to do this purpose.

The timer itself has 6 settings, however only 3 can be used for each line.So if you have more than 3x/day water for your zone, this is not the unit for you!Fortunately I only needed 2x a day for each zone.It was a little complex at first to figure out how to program but didn't take long to master.Note the LCD does NOT detach from the housing, at least not easily.

Unit is powered by a 9V battery which supposedly will last a year. I tested by removing the 9V and replacing quickly -- the settings WERE retained, which is a blessing so you don't have to worry about reprogramming each time you put new batteries in.

The unit has a rain-gauge port and I did purchase the rain gauge unit as well.It hasn't rained so I cannot attest to the effectiveness but it was easy to install.

You might also want to know that the valves are smooth turning rather than abrupt -- this means the water cuts off slowly rather than slams the valve shut immediately.Extremely important factor for old homes with piping that hammers when the water valve suddenly closes. Very nice!

Overall, I'm pleased with the unit. It would've been nice if the LCD detached, but other than that I'm happy with it.

Dramm 9 Pattern Revolver Garden Hose Nozzle Review

I bought one of these Dramm nozzles 3 or 4 years ago at a nursery. Recently it started leaking so I have to replace it, but I must say, it's a very good product overall. The various nozzle options produce a variety of useful sprays. The one for "soaker" puts out a nice, soft, aerated spray that's ideal for watering plants in pots without blasting the dirt around. The "jet" is a really strong blast that's good for cleaning things.

Last weekend I picked up a similar replacement nozzle made by Gilmour at Lowe's. It's a nice looking unit with the same settings as the Dramm, so I figured, why not? When I got it home and put it on the hose, I was shocked at how poorly its spray options compared to the Dramm. The "soaker" stream is much too vigorous (useless for watering potted plants), while the "jet" is wimpy compared to my old Dramm. The only setting on the Gilmour that's the least bit useful is "mist", so I'm returning it to the store and getting another Dramm from Amazon. I had figured if two products from different companies looked about the same and had the same features, they'd perform comparably. I figured wrong.
