Gilmour Extra Large Coverage Impulse Sprinkler #998ZS Review

I've had this for one season so far, and this sprinkler works well.I've tried many sprinklers to find one that covers enough of my lawn to not make watering a pain, and this is finally it.

Pros:

1.Largest coverage I've seen so far.It doesn't quite cover what they claim, but it is by far the largest coverage of any sprinkler I have.
2.Very even coverage.I've put rain gauges in various places, and the watering is pretty even no matter how close or far away you measure it.
3.Fast watering.My measuring was about 0.25 inches per hour.

Cons:

1.Requires high water pressure and very high GPM to work correctly.If not, your coverage will be poor, or it will stop turning all together.I had to modify my plumbing to handle this (which was for the better anyway).

Bayou Classic KAB4 High Pressure Banjo Cooker Review

I got this burner for home brewing beer at the recommendation of one of the homebrew forums I read regularly.The box arrived in a little bit rough shape, but everything worked great. Very easy to use, just hook up to a propane tank similar to the way you hook up a gas grill.

It generates a lot of heat! This is a mixed blessing as it gets a good boil going, but I found it a little bit difficult to control the heat (getting it to slow down enough to not over boil).

For my own use, I run it with the lowest amount of air/gas available (lowest flame), but if you are in need of serious heat or doing some serious outdoor cooking this burner does the job!

Pros:Lot of flame, easy to use, easy to setup.
Cons: Little difficult to control the heat as the lowest setting still runs a bit hot.

K&H Pet Products Ice Eliminator BirdBath 50-Watt De-Icer Review

It finally got cold enough to try this out.So far, it seems to work very well.Temperatures have been in the 20s and 30s and it keeps a 12" circle of water ice-free.The birds have definitely been taking advantage of it.

It mentions this in the description, but I missed it initially, so I just thought I would reiterate that this heater is thermostatically controlled, so it only turns on when necessary.That's nice, as thermostatic plugs cost twenty bucks or more.

[UPDATE]
My circuit breaker tripped and the birdbath water froze.When I turned it back on, the heater thawed its way out of a solid block of ice at 5 degrees F.I'd say that it works pretty well!

I can't tell you how much I love this sprinkler, but let me try. This is one of those adjustable sprinklers that doesn't require a degree is Engineering to adjust. It's very simple and straightforward. You have multiple spray patterns that include a super thin one, which is great, because I get tired of accidentally watering my neighbors lawn. If he wants his lawn to look nice, he needs to water it himself!

Not only can you control the pattern (from really wide to really thin) but you can also control how far it goes my adjusting these neat little clamp thingies. So when the spray hits my fence it can switch direction and spray back the other way. I now have 2 of these and I love them.

The metal is very sturdy, not flimsy like a lot of that plastic crap out there that will tip over when you turn on the water.

I bought this sprayer to wash dirt and salt off the underside of my car, using a couple of lengths of PVC pipe joined with 45 degree fittings and various hose connectors. I connect a hose to the end of the piping, and while standing up beside the car,shove the sprayer back and forth under the car, sliding its little cast feet on the asphalt. The spray extended out to the sides, whrows of holes with dots of epoxy.

A hose end bubbler is a simple but very helpful watering tool -- especially helpful for container gardening.The bubbler just stops the possibility of erosion from an uncontrolled hose discharge.It allows watering with full hose volume without eroding the soil in the container/etc.The water gently flows from the bubbler.This model works very well and is relatively inexpensive.The only negative is that it is constructed of thin plastic and is susceptible to damage.The manufacturer also makes a metal hose end bubbler for not much more money. One would think the metal unit is susceptible to corrosion -- which would be its negative.
