Nelson 56600 Shut-Off Water Timer Review

I like these timers because they're inexpensive and easy to use. Unfortunately when it comes to watering devices, there's no market for truly durable and long-lasting stuff - it would be too expensive - despite the complexity of controlling water at high pressure in a challenging outdoor environment. Hence the mixed reviews and disappointment for most of the watering devices sold here. (But would the same folks pay two or three times as much for better gear?) These timers are no exception. One in four or five is defective, and after two seasons' use, they leak like crazy. But given the price, they're an OK deal.You just have to assume they'll need replacing every other year.
