This is a major improvement over Gardena's original quick connector system.Thanks to clever design -- the large diameter collar -- you do not need pliers to secure a tight fit.Simple hand tightening on the male fitting will ensure that it works and doesn't leak.The couplers are solid, well made and priced much better than competitive products.Best of all -- the original water stop on the downstream (female) connector is gone.Anyone with high water pressure will appreciate this.For my money, these couplers are the best design yet -- and they are more than competitively priced.
