Tired of wasting money on the expensive nozzles that clog or break or get stock on the hose etc, I decided to go cheaper.This has the most option I have ever had on a nozzle, it feels solid, gives good water pressure, so ffar I love it and if it wears out or breaks as quickly as the costlier ones, at least it was cheaper!

I especially LOVE the "angle down" option which I have never seen before.When you spray a hanging plant, you don't have get high enough and hang it over at the perfect angle to get it in the plant - you hold it straight up and it sprays at a down angle right into the hanging basket - AWESOME.. It's the little things in life, you know?

Ray Padula RP-SSWW-1 Super Spray Bottom Adjust Water Wand Review

I've tried several types of sprayers - some expensive (English, brass) and others on sale from a discount store - and this one is the best by far. Easy to hold, comfortable to use, and excellent spray variety. I have a lot of ferns and orchids surrounding a waterfall feature on my back patio and the super fine mist spray on this unit is exceptional. Highly recommended and a tremendous value. I plan on purchasing more for friends as gifts.

Super disappointed. It is made the cheapest material possible and feels like it will break whenever you touch any of the parts. I connected it to two different spigots and it wasn't strong enough to take the the force of the water most of the water dripped out though the side and did'nt even reach the end of the hose. What a piece of junk. Avoid like the plague.

I have only had the hose for about 1 week and have only used it a couple of times. The hose works great so far. I have noticed what the other reviewer said about a few pinholes here and there along the hose and from my experience with soaker hose, this seems to be a common thing. Water flow is pretty good. It comes with rubber grommets that are in the female end of the hose to reduce the amount of water that flows through the hose. I have run the hose with the grommet in and with it out and can say that it does get better flow without but still sufficient with the grommet in place. If you are going to take out the grommet than you are going to have to put a typical hose o-ring in its place as it will leak at the connection without.

Installation wasn't too fun since the cord is much too short!The sensor needs to be mounted in an unobstructured area for rain, obviously, so it's likely you need to place it on the roof or other high structure.But the cord isn't that long enough enough for a one-story low ceiling mount! I had to add my own wire which was unnecesarily complicated.Manufacturer should've included more cord or at least have left the wires bare with quick twist on plugs at the end.Anyway, seems to work so far.

Claber 2-Way Garden Hose Water Distributor Valve #8589 Review

Claber makes high quality products for a market that is flooded with stuff that seems engineered for early obsolescence.In doing this, Claber has moved into a vacuum that was created when another manufacturer of top quality products apparently "threw in the towel" and began to ship sub-par products that look the same as the old but do not last long.I also bought an electronically controlled water valve from Claber.It works perfectly and is easy to operate.It cost twice as much as most competitors' valves, therefore, I fell in the trap and bought competing products.What a mistake that was!I bought one at the local hardware store and was able to return it for a full refund.That one started turning furiously and continuously - without even being turned on - until the batteries were very hot - and had no charge left.The price had been $30 less than at Claber - but add four ruined batteries, two trips to the hardware store, and aggravation and hassle - I figure it cost me as much or more than the Claber even though the hardware store refunded the purchase price.My advice to you:buy from whomever you want - but only if you know from friends or family that their products have high quality, do the job, and last for a few seasons anyhow.Claber fits that bill.

I am not sure why the other reviewer is having a problem.It sounds to me as if he/she let the manifold freeze while on the faucet during freezing weather.

If you leave the faucet on, and, it freezes, it is likely that the top of this manifold will pop.It is designed to do this.If you leave it on your faucet during a deep freeze, and, leave the faucet on, either the top of this will pop, or, your pipes will pop.Better the manifold should pop than the pipes behind the wall.

I've used this for a couple of months on a farm and ranch "quit freeze" (I'll upload a picture if I have the time).

It has worked well.It is a solid, quality piece of cast brass (low-tin bronze), machined to provide the required delivery at each faucet head.I use it, without trouble in warmer weather (here in the mountains ANYTHING above freezing is "warmer weather") for watering my garden around my spa.It permits a lot of flexibility in providing water through attachments that I attach and detach with the Orbit quick couples. Professional Soaker Hose - 100 foot length Review

These soaker hoses are fantastic.Twice the width of what I could find at the local hardware stores.I have three hooked together and plan on adding a fourth.I can't speak to how they overwinter but as of yet, I am very pleased so far.They have reduced our water waste and how much time I spend watering the garden drastically.
The shipping is MUCH cheaper through Amazon Prime than through the retailer's website.I saved a small fortune purchasing through Amazon.
As a side note, the hoses are quite stiff when you unravel them.I stretch them out in the yard in the sunshine for a couple of hours or for the day before I thread them through the garden. It makes them much easier to handle.

The Sprayer worked great for a week or so then I noticed the liquid Fertilizer was not going down in the bottle very much.So I gave it a test and dialed the highest level and sprayed it for a good while. The liquid went down none.I took the sprayer a part and cleaned it real well.It was pluged up.I then read the read instructions and it told me to clean it well after each usage.I cleaned it and it work perfectly.I then started cleaning it every time I use it and it works well.Here is how I clean it. I filled a 2 gallon bucket with water and now every time I use the sprayer when I am finished I unscrew the bottle and stick the entire sprayer in the water and turn it on and it cleans it real well.

The sprinkler works well as long as you're at full water pressure.Unless the faucet is opened all the way, it gets stuck in certain positions unless the faucet is opened all the way. It'd be fine if you have a large yard, but mine is pretty small so I end up wasting water and watering the neighbor's weeds in the process of watering my own garden.

Ames True Temper Reeleasy Hose Reel Cart #2386275 Review

I bought this item from HomeDepot. It started leaking in the first season itself. I did a mistake of calling Ames about the leak, I should have returned to the store.

Ames sent me parts, I replaced according to instructions. Leaking stopped then started again after a month. Called Ames again, they sent me parts again. This time leaking did not stop. Called Ames again, they sent me another part, replaced that too. Leaking does not stop. Finally called Ames for replacement, did not wanted to continue replacing parts. They refused to send replacement cart, they said they can only send parts and it should stop the leak.

I gave up, garbaged this hose reel. Waste of my money and time. Shopping around to buy new one. Trying to decide between RapidReel Wall Reel and ReelSmart Outdoor Sink Station with Auto-Rewind.

The Claber 15 Pre-Set Cycle Water Timer seems very well made and is extremely easy to use.However, I'm not sure I would've purchased the unit had I known what the actual pre-set times were.(I like to water 30 minutes in the morning and 30 in the night.)I did extensive online research to find them (including visiting the Claber web site), and nowhere is the watering times listed.So - here for your enlightment are the 15 pre-set watering times:

Dramm ColorStorm Premium Water Timer Review

This timer works well, is simple to use, and provides accurate timing up to 2hrs!The ability to time for 2hrs is the primary reason I purchased this timer.It's nice that it comes in several colors, but of course that's more a marketing gimmick than anything.As with most timers these days, the shut-off is rather abrupt, which can cause your pipes to bang -- a minor annoyance for me.I especially like the fact that its all-mechanical so there is no need to worry about batteries corroding over time or wearing out mid-cycle.

Previous reviews mention leaking.The issue here is that the combination plastic washer/screen that you can see sticking out the top of the faucet connection-end on the photo is lousy.The material is way too hard to allow you to make a water tight connection.I replaced this inferior part with a rubber washer/metal screen from ACE Hardware and it worked like a charm.

If Dramm would use a decent screen/washer I'd give this device 5 stars.

Suncast Hideaway Hose Reel with Tracker #PTK200D Review

We bought this, since it was rated for 225' of hose storage. We have two 100' hoses for our front lawn so that we can water from one end of our home to the other, and the entire front yard.

It was not well assembled; it leaked and we had to disassemble the entire box to reseat the inlet connection where it joins to the reel.

It constantly breaks - the center shaft is too weak to support the weight of the hose if there is the least bit of residual water in it and it collapses, making it virtually impossible to unreel the hose without taking the entire product apart. It finally broke the locking tabs this weekend when we tried to unreel it.

It also tips over when you are trying to unreel the hose, and takes forever to wind the hose back up, due to a high gear ratio - each crank winds up a very small amount of hose.

If you have a smaller lawn, and only need 100' or so of hose, this would probably work well for you. But it is NOT capable of handling 200 - 225 feet of hose, as stated. It just doesn't hold up.The sad thing is, they could invest a few more cents in producing a quality product that is sturdier, and have a great product that people would be willing to pay more for.

Ames 2380500 True Temper Hose Wagon Review

I bought this thinking it would probably suck since the price was too good to be true, but much to my surprise it is a very well-built, solid, product.It was a breeze to assemble, and there were even a bunch of random extra bolts in there which I assume were backups.The wheels are excellent pneumatic tires with smooth ball bearings.

The only thing that I might beef about is the angle that the hose connects to the reel, it's at such an angle that my hose always kinks at the connection when I wind it.I'm going to order a kink-free hose and see if that does better.Otherwise, I'll just have to be careful when I wind it to see if I can avoid the kinkage.

Apex 988VR-75 Contractor Work Site Tough 3/4-Inch-by-75-Foot Hose Review

I bought this hose after trying several different rubber and pvc hoses.Like many others, I've had hoses that kink, twist and bend, reducing or cutting off the water flow.Almost every hose I've bought has allowed the tap to leak some water.That gets old fast because you're robbing the nozzle/power washer of water AND making a mess at the tap.A number of hoses get wrapped up in hedges, grass, rocks or whatnot.

This thing is a champ.The fittings are huge; so big, in fact, that at first I thought they wouldn't fit either my tap or my power washer.They fit and, wonder of wonders, created a tight seal.The 3/4" diameter and heavy duty construction allows plenty of water through and makes the pipe difficult to bend or kink.The differences were visible - no water leaking at tap or power washer - and measurable - the power washer was able to reach its rated maximums.I've dragged this thing around, over and under all sorts of stuff and it doesn't care.It just keeps pumping out water.

The downside is that it is bulky and heavy. So it may not be for everyone. But if you're looking for a serious hose that allows you to focus on the task instead of the tools, this is a contender.

Apex 8690-50 NeverKink Landscaper 5/8-Inch-by-50-Foot Professional Duty Hose Review

I bought three products in tandem, all three of which will be reviewed here: Suncast PHJ100M Garden Hose Reel Hideaway with 100-Foot Hose Capacity, Apex 8690-50 NeverKink Landscaper 5/8-Inch-by-50-Foot Professional Duty Hose, and Suncast 8-Inch Metal Garden Stakes, Silver. I have a vegetable garden which I expand twice per year. I tend this garden every single day, so it is important that the tools I use work well. I have owned a couple of the cheapest hoses which can be purchased at Walmart. My thought was: "I don't care if it pops a hole, I can just replace it for $15. I don't want to spend $35-50 on a hose and have it be just the same." I have learned - it's not just the same. I don't care if the cheap hose explodes from pressure. What it has cost me dearly is TIME and FRUSTRATION. I can spend 20 minutes laying the cheap hose out straight, and have it kink even when in a straight line. A slight curve closes off the hose, so I spent more time trying to un-kink the hose and regulate water flow than I spent watering my vegetables. What took me 45 minutes or more with a cheap hose took me 25-35 minutes with a five gallon carboy, filling it four gallons at a time and carrying it around my garden. And it takes me a mere 15 minutes with Apex's never kink hose, and Suncast's hose hideaway. Instead of fighting with the hose to get it to lay straight, Apex's hose just lays there, like a hose should. I spool it out of the hideaway, it lays straight. I spool it onto the hideaway, it coils straight. It doesn't fight me, it doesn't kink, I water my garden at the maximum flow of my nozzle without having to go back and try to fix the hose. The hideaway definitely requires the stakes - otherwise the hose itself is heavier than the hideaway and the motion of my pulling would move the hideaway itself. The steaks can be pulled out of the ground if I tug *up* on the hideaway.. but my motion is normally lateral as I pull out the hose. Granted, I can't crank the handle to put away the hose as if I were playing a game on the Price Is Right - you do have to guide the hose onto the spool in a tidy manner, but now that I have a hose that just behaves as a hose should, this isn't a problem and takes only a couple of minutes at most. Buying these three items has literally cut the time I spend watering my garden in half. I was worried by all the reviews of how "cheap" the hideaway is - it works just fine with the stakes. It keeps the sun off my hose so UV rays can't degrade the plastic, it coils the hose faster and more efficiently than I could around a regular/stationary garden hose "butler" or stand, and since I took care to thread the hoses on without stripping the plastic I have experienced no leaks at all. The no-kink hose is truly a wonder, it NEVER fights me, resists movement, or kinks. I highly recommend all three of these products; as long as you take very basic care with their use they work wonderfully.

Watts 520021 RV/Boat Single Exterior Water Filter with Garden Hose Fittings Review

There has been a lot of construction in our area lately.There has been a bit of sediment in the water coming in the mains.This looked like a good way to keep the garden emitters from clogging.

The water pressure in my house is fairly high - I've seen it burst new garden hoses like balloons.Still, this is hard plastic and shouldn't have problems.The outlet connection on one of the units leaked a little, needed tightening, and the adapter may need replacing.It'd be nice if the threaded interfaces on these things could be brass instead of plastic.

Otherwise, it's a very useful unit, I also got one for the RV; it hasn't leaked yet.

Apex 8640-75 NeverKink Extra Heavy Duty 3000 5/8-Inch-by-75-Foot Hose Review

A very stiff, extra heavy duty hose. Most customers would be happier with the series 2000 heavy duty NeverKink hose, which does kink on occasion but is very flexible and easy to use and store on a hose holder. But when I bought the series 3000 (11-23-08) it was only $25 and they wanted $41 for the series 2000 (go figure!). I give this one 5 stars for durability but only 2 stars for usability; 3 stars overall. (The 2000 series rates 4 stars for both durability and usability.)

Very disappointed... the "hose" has no fittings although it clearly shows them in the photo. When I went back and reread the ad I saw that it said "No fittings, bulk hose only." So, it's not really a hose but rather a vinyl tube with holes in it. What good is that?!?!

Update: It's too bad that I cannot change my rating to 0 stars. This hose is complete junk. It has blown two holes and we've only used it three times. Complete waste of money and time to install. I want a refund!!! Amazon, you should not sell this product!
