This is a perfect product. I have been using them for a couple of years now and have not had a single problem. I must own over a dozen or so. It is a very high quality and stands up to the outdoor environment very well. I have left them outside over the NY winter without any problems. They don't leak and operate flawlessly. Of note, if this matters to you, they create a swivel joint that can be a pro or a con depending on the use. For my garden sprinkler, it is a pro because it prevents kinks in the hose. For my sprayer nozzle it is a con, because you need to screw the nozzle to open or close it - I need to be sure to hold the nozzle in the right place to operate it.
Overall, I absolutely love this product and keep buying more for every new hose accessory I buy.
Amazon sells a male/female set or a set of two males. The female end is for the spigot or end of the hose. The male end fits into your sprinkler, nozzle, or sprayer.
