I own 3 of the regular Flexogen 8 ply aqua colored hoses and they still work fine after 19 years use, but they have a mildew issue (granted I can easily wipe it off w/ bleach but I'd prefer if I didn't have to do this). I bought this hose to see since it is the latest and greatest version if it would be more mildew resistant. I have not had it long enough to yet determine. I also like the connecting ends better since it reduces stress and hopefully will prevent leaking at the faucet end. This is a solid reputation company that stands behind its product (my neighbor sent one back for a quick replacement).
