Nelson Rezimar High Water Flow Kink-Free Hose Adapter with Coil #50305 Review

I purchased this hose adapter because I wanted to have my water timer for my above ground sprinkler system on a hose connect instead of directly on the Y-split off the hose spigot.I picked this model because of the large On/Off toggle - much finger-friendlier than the tiny plastic cutoffs on most adapters.

The way I have my hoses set up, one hose goes to my normal garden hose, which I use to water plants and the like, and the other goes to a water timer which is attached to my impact sprinkler head.By default, the water is always "on" at the spigot, and the sprinkler hose is the route which water is funneled through unless the garden hose split is opened.

After a week of use, the male connection of this hose failed where the green hose met the male connector.In addition, the male connector had already begun to rust slightly at the point where it was inserted into the water timer as well as on parts of the tension spring.

Hopefully I got a bad unit as I've had pretty good luck with Nelson products in the past.Unfortunately for this item, it got sent back to Amazon as defective.I'm giving it two stars simply because of the plastic toggle, which worked great.
